Orpheum Theatre - San Francisco Customers Reviews
Absolutely Amazing & Emotional
I've loved Michael since I was 8 years old. Shortly after he passed, I became obsessed and in love. I literally had a 3rd grade themed Michael party. Since then, my love has grown by the day. The minute my best friend and I saw this show, we purchased tickets. In my life, I've probably been to over 60 Broadway shows and this show was unlike any other. I've never been in a more electric, reactive crowd. A man in front of me was literally getting up the entire show in the middle of a song and dancing and singing. I didn't hear a peep from people around him to sit down. He was in way, representing the inner child in us... So excited and thrilled to be there that he couldn't sit still. He didn't want to sit down. It was one of the most magnetic, emotional shows I've ever been to. I'll never forget the cheers and screams heard at a particular scene of the show, the roar of the theater for over a minute straight. A whole standing ovation. It was amazing. Looking around and basking it in, I felt like I was seeing Michael. I know everyone felt it too. I was probably one of the youngest viewers in the audience at 21, but I felt so connected to every person there. Every person felt the same way as me. We all had a love and a passion for the man or the music, or both. I will absolutely never forget this show. It will go down as one of the most insanely moving and beautiful Broadway shows I've ever seen. I hope you go to see it. And I'd also like to add that the stage design, the costumes, the actors themselves.. INSANELY accurate and talented. Blown away. The first song of the show my mum audibly gasped and looked to me with wide eyes as she said, "he sounds just like Michael." It was truly a night to embrace the sparkle that is Michael Jackson.
